Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer have both hailed Erling Haaland for his incredible finish against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Wednesday.
The striker demonstrated his flexibility when he prodded home the winner on 84 minutes, elevating his foot several metres in the air to hand Manchester City a 2-1 win. The 22-year-old was kept quiet for the majority of the game by his former teammates.

John Stones’ thunderbolt had levelled the scores just four minutes earlier after Jude Bellingham - Dortmund’s best player on the night - headed home 11 minutes after the break.
The superlatives were dished out to Haaland again after his moment of inspiration that won City the game, Lineker delivering one of them. He tweeted: “A spectacularly acrobatic goal from @ErlingHaaland against his former club. He’s a goal machine.”
Some have predicted that Haaland will break the Premier League goal record if he stays in England long enough. That honour is currently held by Shearer, who netted 260 times across his career.
The former Newcastle and Blackburn striker applauded Haaland for his goal, praising the finish. The Blues forward has taken just eight games to reach his tally of 13 this season - 10 of which have come in the league - with last night’s goal bumping him up to 26 goals in 21 Champions League games.
