Gangland activity in Glasgow has left terrified residents in the north of the city fearing they could be "caught in the crossfire".
It comes just days after the brutal murder of a young dad in Auchinloch Street in Springburn, while several cars have also been set on fire in surrounding streets.
Thomas Bowers, 33, was pronounced dead at around 5.25am on Friday, April 14.
Police are also probing the attempted murder of a 52-year-old man who was discovered in a serious condition at the scene where Thomas died.
At around 6.10am on the day of the murder, a white Vauxhall Astra was discovered on fire in nearby Gadie. The car blaze is being treated as wilful.

One local has now told the Daily Record another car was deliberately torched around two miles away from the murder scene on Barclay Street on April 12 - two days prior Thomas' death.
The fire is also being treated as a targeted attack and police have confirmed they are investigating the incident.
The man, who asked not to be named, told the Record: "It's been pretty bad for gangland activity in the area. Last week there was the car that was ditched and then torched at the end of our street.
"Then there was the guy murdered up the road in Auchinloch Street just two days later.
"These gangland guys tend to attack each other, but they don't always get the right guy. They shot and killed the wrong guy in Milton a couple of years back. There's always a worry that you could be caught in the crossfire.
"I've lived around here for over 50 years, but people don't feel safe anymore."
