Gladiators fans were left crying tears of laughter after host Bradley Walsh was accidentally 'taken out' by Giant during an interview on the BBC One show.
The second episode of the Gladiators reboot landed on television screens on Saturday evening (20 January) and proved to be great entertainment. Bradley Walsh and his son Barney are hosting the iconic show as a new batch of Gladiators, including Apollo, Athena, Legend, Fire, Bionic, Diamond, Nitro, Electro, Giant, Steel, Comet, Viper, Fury, Phantom, Sabre and Dynamite take on four new contenders each week. But it was Giant who sparked a fan frenzy after he sent Bradley 'flying' following a challenge.
The Gladiator, who is 6ft 5 inches tall, knocked contender Jake off the podium in a tense game of Dual.
The pair's challenge lasted only nine seconds before Jake was sent flying to the ground to land on the cushioned, inflatable crash pad after being hit by Giant. As Jake spoke to Bradley about the hardship of the famous challenge, and how the Gladiator was double his size, Giant could be seen jumping of his podiam. The winner then walked over to join Bradley and Jake on the edge of the crash pad to talk about the challenge.
But as Giant sat down, he accidentally made the host lose his balance while he was mid-sentence. The audience broke out into a rage of laughter as Giant then stood up and put his arm around Bradley and apologised for the mishap. However, viewers watching the BBC One show at home thought it was hilarious.
