This Morning chef Gino D'Acampo has revealed he is leaving the ITV daytime show.The 45 year old celebrity chef, who has become a popular fixture on the programme, shared his plans on the latest edition today, Tuesday, March 29. “I was just walking around because I am a little bit sad today because I am going to go to Italy very soon, so this is my last This Morning, until probably autumn or winter," Gino explained. “Thank god for that," presenter Phillip Schofield teased him.
Jumping in on the joke, the cook attempted to get Phillip and his co-host Holly Willoughby, who shared her thoughts on Will Smith's behaviour at the Oscars being "inexcusable" a day earlier, to take a trip over to the country. “Do not panic, because I have so many beautiful things for you," the star added. Gino first appeared on This Morning in 2009. He has been at the centre of many a hilarious moment on the show, regularly causing off-script giggles with the show's hosts due to his risqué comments.
The star has also spoke of his ideal working schedule involving time off for half of the year in the past. "I've been having six months off for the last eight to ten years," he said at the time.
