Earlier this month, Mila Kunis, who was born in Ukraine, and her husband, Ashton Kutcher, launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise $30 million to go toward relief efforts that help Ukrainian families.

Former Miss Ukraine Anastasiia Lenna has joined the Ukrainian forces to fight Russian troops as Vladimir Putin's invasion continues.The stunning brunette has swapped evening gowns for a rifle as she warned Russian invaders that they will "will die on our land" if they continue their advance. Sharing images on her social media, Anastasiia, who represented Ukraine at the 2015 Miss Grand International beauty pageant, has vowed to defend Ukraine until their safe border is restored.This week, Anastasiia, who has 315,000 Instagram followers, posted another video contrasting Ukraine before the war compared to recent photos and videos.

As soon as Russian forces, under the order of Russian President Vladimir Putin, began the 2022 invasion of Ukraine, stars and celebrities started their efforts to support the Ukrainian people under attack. A-listers like Ryan Reynolds, Mila Kunis, Dua Lipa, and more shared links to where fans could donate to the humanitarian efforts while pledging their own money to the cause.

Leonardo DiCaprio has donated an impressive £7.6million ($10m) to fund for Ukraine, where his grandmother is from.The 47 year old Hollywood actor, who recently starred alongside EastEnders' Himesh Patel in Don't Look Up, was reportedly very close with his maternal grandmother Helene Indenbirken, who was born in Ukraine in 1915. He is said to have taken her to the premiers of many of his films and would call her 'Oma'.The Revenant actor's incredible donation was announced by the International Visegrad Fund, according to Polish News. Leonardo's grandmother was born in Odesa as Jelena Stepanovna Smirnova and migrated to Germany with her parents two years later in 1917.

Gigi Hadid is the latest celebrity to pledge her support towards the people of Ukraine. The 26-year-old model took to Instagram on Sunday, March 6 and promised that her earnings from Paris Fashion Week 2022 will go towards the relief efforts in Ukraine amidst attacks from Russian troops. Gigi also pledged monetary support to Palestine, where there’s been ongoing conflict with Israel. Her father Mohammad Hadid is of Palestinian origin.

Stevie Wonder has spoken out in support of the Ukraine, which he says is “in a battle for the soul of the world” due to it ongoing conflict with Russia.In a video statement shared on Friday (March 4), the Motown legend condemned Russia’s “evil” invasion and called for people to rise up in order to “prevent World War III”.“Can we survive if Ukraine does not? That is the question that all of us should ask,” Wonder began. “Are we surprised that the forces of evil are alive and aggressive in today’s world? I’m not surprised, and you shouldn’t be either. I write and sing about it because I can feel it. You should know about it because you can see, unless you have a blind eye to it and don’t want to do anything about it, you should see it.”“This is not just a Ukrainian war,” he continued.

Mila Kunis, 38, has broken her silence on the war in Ukraine, her native country. She uploaded a video along with her husband Ashton Kutcher where they said they would match up to $3 million in donations to relief funds as they encouraged their fans to pitch in. “While we are witnessing the bravery of Ukrainians, we are also bearing witness to the unimaginable burden of those who have chosen safety. Through GoFundMe, this fundraiser will provide an immediate impact on refugee and humanitarian aid efforts,” they captioned the video.

Just hours after Deadline reported that Netflix is pausing all of its production and acquisitions work in Russia, the company’s co-founder, chairman and co-CEO Reed Hastings announced a $1 million donation to an organization providing emergency relief to Ukraine.
