Gemma Atkinson has recalled the horrifying moment a former partner 'threw her over a coffee table' after he was unimpressed with the outfit she was wearing out with her friends. The Hits Radio host opened up in the latest episode of her new podcast, The Overshare with Gemma Atkinson.
In the first episode of her first-ever podcast, Bury-born Gemma opened up about her own life after welcoming her second child into the world with her Strictly Come Dancing star fiance Gorka Marquez, as well as chatting to others on the subject of 'bodies'.
Each week, new episodes of Gemma's podcast will be released and focus on a different topic with the second being secrets and the latest, released on Thursday (October 5), has been titled '30, single and fine' and it heard the host open up about a past relationship.

"I was in a relationship with a guy and it was awful. It was horrendous," the 38-year-old was heard saying in a clip of the podcast episode shared on Instagram. Gemma went on: "He was mentally abusive, he was psychologically abusive. I remember once he threw me over a coffee table because he didn't like the outfit I was wearing with the girls.
"And it took my brother-in-law to go round and be like, 'Mate, you need to disappear!' And he did." The clip teasing the episode then cut to hear Gemma talking about how, before meeting Gorka, she would have preferred to be single rather than be with the wrong person.
