Gemma Atkinson was seen documenting an important trip with her daughter which left fans spotting her 'worried' look. The Hits Radio host spent an afternoon with four-year-old Mia visiting Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary in Bury, for which she is a president for the charity.
Back in 2022, Gemma showed how she spent a day teaching her daughter about the rescue centre, a place she visited regularly growing up, and how to be 'kind' to animals - which includes dogs but also cats, horses, and farm animals at Bleakholt.
This week, Gemma documented her latest trip to the animal sanctuary with Mia in tow and shared a video of the pair being introduced to a dog as they were told her story. Alongside the video on her Instagram Story, the 39-year-old wrote: "Afternoon at Bleakholt with Mia.

"We met dogs, cats, kittens, horses and goats. This is Shelby and her backstory is something else. I was told about it in this video... Thankfully she has a wonderful forever home to go to very soon @bleakholt_animal_sanctuary."
Gemma then shared a follow-up video as she spoke directly to her fans and followers once back at home. "Had a lovely afternoon at Bleakholt," the former Hollyoaks and Emmerdale star said. "It blows my mind the work the staff do up there and the volunteers. They said [they spend] £28,000 on vet bills alone for one month and it's all on donations. There's no funding. It blows my mind..."
