Celebrity Big Brother fans spotted an awkward blunder on Late & Live following the launch show of the 2024 series. Many of the contestants' loved ones appeared on the spin-off show, including their partners. Late & Live hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best chatted to all of the guests after the contestants got to grips with life in the CBB house.
Among those on the spin-off show was Lauren Jaine, who is Nikita Kuzmin's girlfriend. Lauren was supporting her the Strictly Come Dancing star, who entered the CBB house alongside the likes of Louis Walsh, Sharon Osbourne and Lauren Simon. However, an error on Late & Live left Lauren looking slightly annoyed.
Host AJ introduced Lauren as 'Nikita's friend' and her name tag also read the same thing, despite her and Nikita being in a relationship. AJ said: "And welcome Nikita's friend, Lauren, lovely to meet you, welcome to the show." Late & Live viewers were puzzled by the error, with many taking to social media to question why Lauren hadn't been referred to as Nikita's girlfriend. One person penned: "Isnt Lauren Nikita's girlfriend not friend? #CBBUK." A second added: "'Friend' isn’t Lauren Nikita’s gf ? So now we’re referring to her as friend.
#cbbuk." A third said: "lauren ? i thought she was nikitas girlfriend, someone explain #CBBUK." Nikita and Lauren began dating last year and regularly share posts together on social media. Lauren posted a gushing tribute to her famous beau after it was revealed he was entering the CBB house. She wrote: "The secret is out! As much as I’m going to miss this crazy boy, I’m so excited for him to be part of this amazing experience.
The gattos and I will be watching every single night!!!! Love you @nikita__kuzmin." Nikita admitted he already couldn't
