However, despite the huge result for Liverpool, former Manchester United man and Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville says that the title is still likely to be heading to the blue half of Manchester by May.
He explained: "I still think they will [run away with it], I still think they will and today won’t change it, this was a freak game playing at Anfield. For City, it’s the most difficult game they have, I do think City will run away with it, Arsenal will come back towards Tottenham, Chelsea, United, Newcastle, I do think City will go away. This season will be a different season as well, post-World Cup could be completely different to what it is."
