An Ayrshire rock band has won The Weekender Awards 2022 'Music Video of the Year'.
Culann was crowned the Scottish music magazine winner for their 'Rovers' music video, starring Gangs of New York actor Rab Affleck.
Inspired by the moody 2019 movie 'The Lighthouse' the music video was shot earlier this summer at Portencross.
The Irvine band was once again joined by Rab Affleck who has starred in all six of Culann's productions.
Frontman PJ Kelly was thrilled by the unexpected recognition.
He said: "We really didn't think it would happen and we're all quite surprised as we were in a category alongside very strong artists all with great videos.
"We're so chuffed to win, it's nice to be recognised in amongst good company.
"The nomination was unexpected and came out of the blue. Earlier this month, I was on Twitter when a notification came through saying we were in the running for the best music video category.
"It feels like it was quite a while ago we shot it so it's nice to have this award to remind us how much hard work we put into it.
"It was a collaborative effort and we want to thank Stuart Breadner, James Lygate, Rab Affleck and Brian Blakeley for making it possible."
PJ is excited about the band's plans for the New Year and teased fans about the band's upcoming projects.
He added: "We're going to try and get a wee night together to celebrate the win and we've got a few things in the works for 2023.
"Rovers is going to form part of an EP that we'll be releasing, hopefully, in the first couple of months of the new year.
"Hopefully we'll be able to make another music video with the same team in 2023".

Rovers is also available to stream on all major streaming sites.
