Two Door Cinema Club have cancelled their upcoming European headline tour due to the health of bassist Kevin Baird.The band shared the news on social media via a message from Baird which explained that he had been receiving treatment for an “incurable autoimmune disease”.“I’ve loved every second of playing shows again this summer, especially after such a long time away but the harsh reality is that it’s been really hard on my body,” the message read.“I’ve been experiencing a lot of ups and downs in managing this bastard of a disease and after a lot of long chats with my doctor we’ve decided that the next step is surgery to remove the affected organ after which it should be much more manageable.”He added that he was “scheduled to have the operation in a few weeks”, which means the band will no longer be able to play their September and October dates in Europe. Carson Burton Tucker Wiard, who served as editor for TV series including “Murphy Brown,” “The Carol Burnett Show” and “The Scarlet Letter,” died on Aug 28 in Los Angeles after complications from heart failure. He was 80. Throughout Wiard’s decades-long career, he won five primetime Emmys for editing. Wiard won for his work in editing the final episode of “The Carol Burnett Show” at CBS in 1978, the four-episode WGBH series “The Scarlet Letter” in 1979 and the television special “American Bandstand’s 30th Anniversary Special” in 1982. Two episodes of “Murphy Brown” — “Respect” and “On Another Plane” — also won Wiard primetime Emmys. He was nominated a total of 11 times.

Manori Ravindran International Editor Hilary Clinton and Chelsea Clinton’s HiddenLight Productions is co-producing a new feature documentary with the team behind Sundance 2019 title “Gaza.” “In the Shadow of Beirut” is a cinematic portrait of modern-day Lebanon as seen through the eyes of four families living in the impoverished Sabra and Shatila neighbourhoods of the city, the scene of an infamous massacre in 1982. The film will be executive produced by Hillary Clinton, Chelsea Clinton and Siobhan Sinnerton for HiddenLight. The doc is filmed over four years with unique access to the families within these largely restricted areas and co-directed by Stephen Gerard Kelly, in his debut, and Garry Keane (“Gaza,” 2019). Kelly built up his relationship with the families over a six-year period.
