A fundraiser for a four-year-old boy and his dad who were both tragically killed in a horrific house fire has now surpassed £60,000.
Barry Mason, 45, tragically lost his life in the blaze at his family home on Warrington Road in the early hours of April 14. His four-year-old son Ethan also sadly died of his injuries in hospital after Barry had bravely 'ran back inside to save him'.
The devastating fire, that claimed the lives of both Barry and Ethan, erupted at around 2.30am. Emergency services quickly responded to the incident and cordoned off the area overnight as the fire ripped through the semi-detached house.

Ethan's aunt Jessica posted a photo and tribute to Barry on her Facebook page after his death saying he was the family's 'very own superhero'. And, following Ethan's death, two days after being rushed in with serious injuries, she said 'didn't want his daddy to be alone'.
She also set up a fundraising page to support the family left behind after the tragedy. Almost three weeks on, over £60,000 from almost 3,000 people has been raised to support them with funeral plans and to start rebuilding their lives
