Cillian Murphy Confirmed For Danny Boyle’s ‘28 Years Later’

On the heels of its world premiere in competition as the opener for the Berlin Film Festival, the historical drama Small Things Like These, produced by and starring Oppenheimer Oscar winner Cillian Murphy, has been acquired by Lionsgate.

The studio will partner with Roadside Attractions for its North American theatrical release.

Netflix has officially confirmed that a Peaky Blinders film is in the works.Last night (June 4), Netflix announced the film’s confirmation on social media, sharing a picture of what is assumed to be the film’s script. In the post, Netflix wrote: “Tommy Shelby returns. A Peaky Blinders Film starring Cillian Murphy is coming to Netflix”.It remains to be seen if the upcoming movie will be titled A Peaky Blinders Film, or if that is the movie’s current working title.The post also includes a quote from Murphy, who said: “It seems like Tommy Shelby wasn’t finished with me… It is very gratifying to be recollaborating with Steven Knight and Tom Harper on the film version of Peaky Blinders.

Fans of hit TV show Peaky Blinders are in for a treat as Netflix have confirmed a movie is in the works.Taking to Twitter (X), Netflix shared a picture of a script titled 'A Peaky Blinders film' - with it confirmed Cillian Murphy would be reprising his role as Tommy Shelby.The streaming giant captioned the exciting snap: "BIG NEWS: A Peaky Blinders film is coming to Netflix!" The account then added: "A few words from Cillian Murphy: 'It seems like Tommy Shelby wasn't finished with me... It is very gratifying to be recollaborating with Steven Knight and Tom Harper on the film version of Peaky Blinders.This is one for the fans'".

Alex Garland’s Civil War has been set for a June 7 theatrical release date in China. This marks the first time an A24 production will officially hit cinemas there. The dystopian thriller was acquired by Huahua Media in the market with Alibaba set to partner on the local release.
