Fred The Godson Dies: New York Rapper Had COVID-19, Was 35

Last night, the nonprofit organization Robin Hood New York teamed up with iHeart Radio and held their virtual telethon to raise money to help those who have been affected by the coronavirus within the New York area. The telethon featured some big names including Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, Spike Lee, Alicia Keys, Barbara Streisand, Robert De Niro, and many other A-list celebrities, who lent their voices and talent for the cause.

Rapper Nick Blixky has passed away after a late-night shooting in New York City. He was 21 years old.

Up-and-coming rapper Nick Blixky was shot and killed in New York City, police said Monday (May 11).

Up-and-coming rapper Nick Blixky has died. The 21-year-old, whose real name is Nickalus Thompson, was shot and killed in New York City, police said Monday.

NYPD confirmed Blixky's death.

The New York Film Festival on Friday unveiled a new programming structure and talked preparations for the upcoming 58th edition amid a public health crisis brought on by the novel coronavirus to include a likely in-person and virtual hybrid format. Film at Lincoln Center in a statement said it is "exploring a combination of both in-person and digital experiences, as circumstances allow" for the planned Sept.

Organizers of the New York Film Festival, one of the signature cultural events in the city hardest-hit by COVID-19, say they are still exploring a range of scenarios for the 58th edition this fall, including live events.

Fred the Godson has sadly died.

On Thursday afternoon (April 23), the hip-hop community mourned the death of New York MC Fred the Godson, who died due to the coronavirus, according to his close collaborator Jaquae. He was 35."My little brother ooooh how sad am i, i prayed and prayed and prayed for you all night long," Fat Joe wrote on Instagram.
