A former SNP MP has claimed that Nicola Sturgeon allowed MI5 agents into the party.
Former Coatbridge, Chryston and Bellshill MP Phil Boswell claimed "traitors" had taken over the party and said members had to "wake up".
It comes after ex-SNP MSP Campbell Martin alleged earlier this year that British spies had infiltrated the Scottish Government.
Boswell told the Through a Scottish Prism that he had been sure former First Minister Sturgeon would not be able to have a second independence referendum on October 19, 2023.
He also called Sturgeon a "liar" and accused her of "conning us".
He said: " I knew it wasn't going to happen, we all knew it wasn't going to happen. She's a liar, and she's conning us.
"You look at the MI5 intervention and look at the list of individuals that have been employed."
Scottish Tory MSP Annie Wells mocked Boswell. She told the Scottish Daily Mail: "Even by nationalist standards this is tinfoil-hat stuff."
Former MSP Campbell Martin, who represented the SNP in Holyrood for a year before being expelled from the party, said earlier this year that secret service agents have risen through the SNP ranks and can now influence its decision making.
He alleged that the party's "gender policies" are part of a plan by the spies to make it unelectable and to harm the Scottish independence movement.
