London-based sales firm Film Constellation has boarded international sales rights to Natalie Erika James’ well-received Sundance Midnight debut Relic, whose producers include AGBO and Jake Gyllenhaal’s Nine Stories.
Scheduled for theatrical release in the U.S. in Q4, 2020, with IFC Midnight, the film was to play at the cancelled SXSW this month, also in the Midnight section.

Ever since the coronavirus breakout, Jimmy Fallon has been doing The Tonight Show “from home” and interviewing his guests via Facetime. His Apr. 1 guest was Lady Gaga and she did the most awkward show interview. She was distracted and talking to her assistants, sometimes not even realizing they were on TV. Then her interview ended when she told him “I just can’t talk right now,” as phones could be heard going off on her end of the line.
The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences on Tuesday announced the 2020 International Emmy Kids Awards online and via social channels rather than on stage in Cannes after MIPTV was canceled amid the novel coronavirus outbreak. "We decided to keep the winners’ announcement for the same day the awards ceremony would have been held in Cannes,” said International Academy president Bruce L.

The film, which stars Emily Mortimer (“Shutter Island”), Robyn Nevin (“The Matrix Trilogy”) and Bella Heathcote (“The Neon Demon”), had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in the Midnight section.
