Manchester City fans are begging Ilkay Gundogan to sign a new contract after scoring the fastest-ever FA Cup final goal against Manchester United.
The midfielder found the net after just 13 seconds, looping the ball past a frozen David de Gea to give the Blues the best start possible. The German’s future at City is uncertain with the playmaker out of contract at the end of the season.
City fans are urging the club captain to stay after a notable uptick in form in recent weeks. Gundogan netted four goals and an assist in his final three Premier League games, lifting the trophy in front of the Etihad crowd a fortnight ago.
