The BRIT Awards made a triumphant return on Tuesday 8 February, with some of today's biggest stars gracing the red carpet at the annual awards ceremony. Famous faces including Adele, Ed Sheeran, Idris Elba, and Courtney Cox were all in attendance, with comedian Mo Gilligan taking on hosting duties. Also on the star-studded guest list was singer Raye, who was nominated for two awards at this year's BRITS, including Best Dance Act.
While she didn't take an award home this year, Raye definitely won on the red carpet, where she modelled an incredible orange Versace gown. You can sign up at the top of the page. Who is Raye? Raye, 24, is a singer and songwriter who hails from Tooting, London. She studied at Woodcote High School, before going on to attend the BRIT School for two years until she dropped out after feeling "confined", despite "learning an extensive amount".
In 2014, Raye released her debut EP, titled Welcome to the Winter, and in 2015 she released two singles, Flowers and Alien. She has gone to collaborate with some of today's biggest names, including Stormzy and Mabel. Raye featured on Jonas Blue's hit single By Your Side, as well as Jax Jones' chart-topper You Don't Know Me.
In 2017, Raye released hit track Decline which featured singer Mr Eazi, and the track peaked at number 15 on the UK Chart and has also been certified platinum. She has also co-written tracks for the likes of Beyonce, and worked with Drake on his fifth album, Scorpio. The reportedly formed a "close relationship" during their time
