Her family announced the heartbreaking news of her passing to Portugese media, with tributes for the singer quickly pouring in across social media.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one fan wrote: "Sara Tavares was such a talent, with a beautiful voice and an amazing discography, and I’m so saddened to hear of her passing.
