Erling Haaland is the darling of the Premier League right now thanks to his 11 goals in seven games and he's rightly taking the headlines.
However, the glow of his stardom is masking the brilliance of other teammates who are also continuing to pull up trees this season, according to Joleon Lescott. Haaland fired home for a seventh consecutive match in Saturday’s 3-0 win over Wolves to take his overall campaign tally to 14.
His goals have helped Manchester City to the top of the table, with the defending champions firm favourites to retain their title thanks to his arrival. But his stats should not overshadow the feats of other Blues players this season.

Kevin De Bruyne bagged two assists against Wolves to take his Premier League career total to 92, drawing him alongside Steven Gerrard in the all-time list. The Belgian has recorded eight this season already after notching 14 across the whole of last term.
Speaking on BT Sport, Lescott hailed De Bruyne for his output, suggesting that his efforts are being screened by Haaland’s achievements. “Someone that plays in his maximum capacity, week in, week out,” he said of the Belgian.
“That’s what separates him, we’ve seen flashes of his brilliance with other players, but not as consistent every week. It’s funny that we’re talking about Haaland so much, but he [De Bruyne] sets the standard.
“In regards of his performance, it’s just expected. It’s a credit to him, you can’t take that for granted.” De Bruyne netted 19 times last season as he won the Premier League Player of the Year award for a second time, although he has just one goal to his name so far this campaign.
