K-pop boyband ENHYPEN have opened up about their lives as idols.Yesterday (May 22), ENHYPEN returned with their new mini-album ‘Dark Blood’, led by the single ‘Bite Me’. In a recent interview with Teen Vogue, the boyband discussed their lives as K-pop idols in relations to their new song ‘Sacrifice (Eat Me Up)’,“I believe that there’s a lot of ups and downs when you become an idol.
And there’s a lot of things you have to sacrifice, but there’s a lot of things you gain in being an artist, being a K-pop star,” said Jake. However, the idol also added that “all the sacrifices that we made through the years have all paid off with our fans’ support and all the love we get whenever we perform”, sharing that this has allowed them to forget about the sacrifices they have made. The ENHYPEN members went on to discuss how they balance their public lives as idols and their personal lives. Sunghoon shared that while he does have an onstage persona while performing, he also allowed his “natural self” to appear while interacting with fans in more intimate settings, such as livestreams and vlogs.“In our everyday lives, I tend to do the things that I need to do or I want to do during our days off so I think that’s how I strike a balance between the artist Park Sunghoon and human Park Sunghoon,” said the singer. The newly released ‘Dark Blood’ marks ENHYPEN’s first domestic release of 2023, and comes ten months after their third mini-album ‘Manifesto: Day 1’ arrived last July.

Sherri Shepherd addressed hateful comments made to Lizzo following the “Special” singer’s tribute to Tina Turner at a concert last week. Shepherd played a video of Lizzo’s tribute via Instagram, saying someone wrote on social media, “How is Lizzo still this fat when she’s constantly moving this much on stage? I wonder what she must be eating.”Following noises of disapproval from her audience, Shepherd shared her perspective on the situation, advising Lizzo to set some boundaries on social media.“What I would say to Lizzo is, Lizzo, don’t post this kind of stuff because there are things that you have to tell your therapist, you tell your friends [Jawn I used to share this kind of stuff with you so you could share the burden],” Shepherd said. “Because when you put it out, then people start knowing what your triggers are, and then you get more people which gives them power.
Zack Sharf Digital News Director With Warner Bros.’ “Barbie” and Universal’s giant action tentpole “The Fall Guy” on the way, Ryan Gosling remains one of Hollywood’s most in-demand leading men. But that wasn’t always the case. The Oscar nominee recently told GQ magazine that his rise to leading man got its start because he landed his first few roles on the belief that he wasn’t leading man material to begin with. Gosling’s acting breakthrough came in 2001 with his leading role in Henry Bean’s “The Believer,” in which he played a Jewish kid from New York who becomes a Neo-Nazi. Gosling is none of these, but he said “the fact that I wasn’t really right for it was exactly why [Henry] thought I was right for it.” The actor got similar feedback when he went to audition for “The Notebook,” Nick Cassavetes’ 2004 Nicholas Sparks adaptation that turned Gosling and co-star Rachel McAdams into romance icons.

Ethan Shanfeld “Just give them one.” That’s Elizabeth Olsen’s advice for actors thinking about joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The “WandaVision” star told Josh Horowitz on the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast that by initially only agreeing to one Marvel project, actors can gain more “creative control” for the next one. “That way you have more control over… If you, let’s say, ‘Oh my God, this is the most fun I’ve ever had and I love this character so much, I want to do it again,’ you now have more creative control for the next one,” Olsen said.

Mike Wass Until now, global success for K-pop acts has mostly come through massive conglomerates like YG Entertainment and HYBE. That all changed when indie label Attrakt (stylized as ATTRAKT) rolled out an innovative campaign for their nascent girl group Fifty Fifty (stylized FIFTY FIFTY) centered on highlighting the members’ individual talents and reaching as many fans as possible by releasing multiple versions of their new single “Cupid.” An English language version of the song — dubbed the “Twin Version” — went nuclear on TikTok and Fifty Fifty found themselves with a global hit. This week, “Cupid” surges to No. 19 on the Billboard Hot 100, making them only the second K-pop girl group to crack the top 20 after Blackpink.
