It’s a game changing move that could benefit the summer’s second-highest blockbuster “Oppenheimer.” The two seemed destined to dance at the upcoming Academy Awards in several artisan races.

In what was to be expected, Legendary Entertainment and Warner Bros’ highly anticipated sequel, Dune: Part Two, from Denis Villeneuve is moving off its Nov. 3 theatrical release to March 15, 2024 due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike. The sequel based on the Frank Herbert penned novel will also play Imax on its new date. Don’t be surprised if Dune: Part Two fires off either the Berlin Film Festival or SXSW in the late winter/early spring.

The News & Doc Emmys take place over two days next month in New York: Blitzer will receive his honor at the news ceremony on Wednesday, Sept. 27, and Kopple’s Emmy will be presented at the documentary ceremony on Thursday, September 28.

E! is mixing the most controversial reality show stars under one roof in House of Villains. Hosted by Joel McHale, the series is set to premiere on Thursday, October 12 at 10 p.m. ET/PT with a supersized 75-minute episode airing simultaneously on Bravo, SyFy and USA.

strike-delayed 75th Emmy Awards have a new date — one that places them squarely within Hollywood’s awards season, for a change.Fox announced Thursday that the Emmys will air on January 15 from the Peacock Theater at LA Live in downtown Los Angeles. The show will air on the Martin Luther King, Jr., holiday.The timing means that the Emmys, which honor the best shows on television, will air weeks before the Screen Actors Guild Awards, which honors film and television actors.Numerous other shows like the Golden Globe Awards, which haven’t been confirmed for a return to network television, and the Critics Choice Awards, also are held in January.The ceremony will happen roughly four months later than originally planned.While the move is a bit of a throwback — the first Emmys, where only six awards were handed out, were held in January 1949 — the show traditionally airs in September, a slot that once heralded the upcoming fall television season.

The 75th Primetime Emmy Awards will take place on Monday, Jan. 15, 2024, Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The joint announcement was made by Fox, whose turn is to carry the ceremony this year, and the TV Academy.
