After a brief marriage to Dan Spencer, Ali entered into a relationship with Ruby Haswell, which also didn't last.The character later moved away to Liverpool with her sister Rachel Freckle in 2015.
Almost three years after leaving the village, the mum-of-two was killed off-screen in a car accident, leaving Dan as Amelia and Sean's sole guardian. But despite Kelli receiving much praise for her explosive portrayal of troubled character Ali in the soap, as well as being critically-acclaimed for her roles in the Channel 4 Tina Crabtree films and Shameless, the star decided to leave the acting world behind.
Now based in Thailand, the actress took a left turn in her career and runs a "weed bar" called La Choza Pratumnak in the beautiful far-east country, which has legalised the substance for personal use. Kelli upped sticks and moved away from the UK over a year ago, and after focusing on her new business ever since, has started to share her success on social media.
Recently uploading a video on her TikTok page, Kelli looked happier than ever as she celebrated her new business venture. The star regularly hosts parties for people to come and dance in the bar, and are able to take cannabis at the same time.
Previously speaking about changing careers in an interview, the soap actress told LeedsLive about how she'd been on holiday to the area a "few times" and did some "island hopping". After a while, the star found a "really cute little shop"
