Emmerdale newcomer Suzy Merton (Martelle Edinborough) was definitely hiding something when viewers were first introduced to her discovering she was one of the drug users involved in Holly Barton’s (Sophie Powles) overdose and death. But she seemed to have turned over a new leaf, stopping using cocaine and telling all to girlfriend Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick).

The 1975‘s Matty Healy has opened up in a new interview about his departure from Twitter.The frontman deactivated his account on the social media platform in 2020 after being criticised for sharing a post about George Floyd that included a link to the band’s single ‘Love It If We Made It’.Floyd, a 46-year-old African-American, died in the custody of local police in Minnesota in May that year. Footage subsequently emerged of an officer, Derek Chauvin, kneeling on Floyd’s neck.His death sparked international outrage, protests and a renewed focus on the Black Lives Matter movement.

Matty Healy has shared Taylor Swift‘s reaction to hearing The 1975‘s forthcoming new album, ‘Being Funny In A Foreign Language’, for the first time.The Healy-led band’s fifth studio album is set to be released on October 14 via Dirty Hit, and the frontman has now given a new interview about the record to Pitchfork.The profile describes ‘Being Funny In A Foreign Language’ as “quite funny – there’s a mom joke, a QAnon joke, a joke about a 10-year-old who is ‘obsessed with fat ass'”.It then reveals that, after listening to the record, Swift summed it up to Healy by saying “it’s so funny”. Comedian Bo Burnham also had a similar reaction, with the profile noting how Healy “was pleased when Burnham laughed at all the right times” when he listened to the album.Healy also discussed in the interview how he and his bandmate George Daniel began working with Jack Antonoff on the album.“People may think that it’s ‘uncool’ to work with the biggest producer in the world — I don’t give a fuck,” Healy said about enlisting Antonoff’s services.

Bae Suzy and Yang Se-jong will be co-starring in Netflix’s upcoming original K-drama The Girl Downstairs.On July 19, South Korean news outlet JoyNews24 reported that the two actors have been confirmed to lead the upcoming series. Based on the Naver webtoon of the same name by Min Song-ah, The Girl Downstairs revolves around college students Lee Doo-na (Bae) and Lee Won-joon (Yang) who end living together.In the original webtoon, Lee Doo-na is a former member of the fictional girl group Dream Sweet, who abruptly decides to retire to resume her studies at Minsong University as a theatre and film student.  It is currently unknown if the Netflix adaptation will retain the same plot.As of writing, Netflix has yet to announce a projected premiere date for The Girl Downstairs.
