Charley Webb is said to have moved out of her family home and is thought to be leaning on Sheridan Smith for support after her split from husband Matthew Wolfenden. On Wednesday, Charley and Matthew confirmed that they had split and now she is said to be using close pal Sheridan's home as a refuge after leaving the large North Yorkshire house she shared with Matthew and their three children. Cilla star Sheridan, 42, has one son and split from fiance Jamie Horn in 2021.
She sold the Essex home she had shared with him earlier this year. A source told The Sun: "Charley is really busy with work so she’s hardly at home anyway but she’s moved lots of her stuff out. "She spends her free time either with the kids or her best pal Sheridan Smith.
Sheridan’s house has become a real refuge for her during the split. "Matthew’s parents are holding the fort at home, while he’s also away doing Elf." Charley, 35, and Matthew, 43, met on the set of Emmerdale and began dating in 2007, but both are now pursuing new roles in musicals. She has been touring with musical Quiz, while he has a festive job lined up in London's West End starring in Elf the musical.
Matthew spoke about their conflicting busy schedules in a recent appearance on Loose Women, where he revealed that his parents had moved into their house to look after the children. He said: "Charley's on tour [with the musical, Quiz]. Bless my mum and dad, I owe them a holiday after this run because they've stepped in and moved into the house.
"And they're looking after the kids, so yeah thanks, mum and dad! It's tough. And I'm a real softie with the kids as well. "I just love being at home with them, to be away from them...
