Emmerdale was full of drama on Wednesday as Mackenzie Boyd and Cain Dingle decided to team up in a bid to get revenge on Al Chapman. During the latest instalment, Al, who is feeling the pressure from Gavin after The Woolpack explosion, attempted to get Marlon and Chas Dingle to sign the contract. However, Paddy Kirk pointed out that the plans would destroy Grace’s memorial and Chas, after reading through the papers, realised that the price had been dropped by £20K.
And Cain wasn't happy when he overheard the confrontation as he ripped up the contract and told Al that the deal was "finished". Get exclusive celebrity stories and fabulous photoshoots straight to your inbox with OK!'s daily newsletter. You can sign up at the top of the page.
Later in the episode, Cain and Mackenzie saw Al making a desperate phone call to Chas after Gavin gave him a deadline of two days to get the contracts signed. After getting into a row with Cain, Al warned him to "stay out my business" and promised that he would "regret" it as he stormed off. Mackenzie and Cain then decided to team up together to teach Al a lesson as they admitted that they "owe him one".
Later in the episode, Al approached Chas again, who was with Mackenzie, as he claimed he had another copy of the contract ready for her to sign. As he received a call from Gavin, Al popped his mobile in his briefcase and turned his back, to which Mackenzie quickly swiped the device. However, soap fans were quick to point out that Mackenzie might have difficulty accessing Al's phone as it's likely he will have a passcode while others pointed out that he would quickly realise his device was missing.
