Emmerdale fans have been left divided over the return of 'Dinlge law' as Cain vowed to help his brother Sam. The latter broke down to Will Taylor during a visit to Home Farm as word about his wife, Lydia, being raped spread across the village.
Lydia only told her family last week about her ordeal at the hands of her childhood acquaintance, Craig Reed. He came back into her life after bumping into him at a jobs fair at the Hide and the pair were later seen bonding after Lydia told Craig she had given birth to their stillborn baby when they were in a teenage relationship while living in the same children's home.
They bonded but things took an awkward turn when Craig appeared to want to make a move on Lydia. As a result, she tried to tell Craig that she was with Sam and that she wasn't interested in him. But in shocking scenes, he forced himself on Lydia and has since denied raping her and saying no one would believe her if she spoke out.

She has since gone to the police and joined Sam as he confronted Craig in his office, who continued to deny raping Lydia, lying that it was "consensual'. Eventually, Lydia snapped and went to speak to the police about what had happened. She has since had support from Rhona Goskirk who helped her visit a rape crisis centre.
But as she still struggles with her husband's touch, Sam was seen breaking down to Will who got in touch with Cain. While Sam was surprised to see Cain, who he said had so much going on himself, turning up just to talk, Cain was concerned why his brother hadn't
