A busy Dumfries road has been closed in both directions after three vehicles were involved in an early afternoon smash.
Emergency services rushed to the A75 arterial route north east of the Borders town at around 1.50pm on Friday October 15.
The carriageway remains closed in both directions between the A709 and A701 following the smash, with delays possible for motorists using the route.
No details of injuries have been released by Police Scotland.
However officers were reported to be redirecting
