Two people are in hospital and a third has been left injured after an alleged dog attack in Edinburgh.
Emergency services were called to Craigentinny Road after receiving a report of three people having being bitten by a dog at 8.30am on Thursday, November 30.
Medics attended and two people were blue-lighted to the Royal Infirmary for treatment.
A third was treated at the scene by paramedics. Officers investigating the incident have since seized the dog.
The 31-year-old man and 27-year-old woman have both been arrested in connection.
A Police Scotland spokesperson told our sister title, Edinburgh Live: “Around 8.30am on Thursday, 30 November, 2023, officers received a report of three people having been bitten by a dog in the Craigentinny Road area of Edinburgh. Emergency services attended and one person was treated by paramedics at the scene.
"Two people were taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment. The dog has been seized. The owners of the dog, a 31-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman, have been charged in connection with the incident.
"A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
