EastEnders Lacey Turner explains Stacey 'never suspected' Theo to be evil stalker

EastEnders fans are in for a treat next week as evil Theo Hawthorne reveals himself as Stacey Slater's stalker.
Theo is left with no choice but to confess his actions upon realising that Martin Fowler and Eve Unwin have caught onto his sinister plan. The confrontation goes awry when Stacey's 12-year-old daughter Lily goes into labour in the next room while the ambulance is delayed.
Fans of the BBC soap have been left reeling as Stacey never sussed out Theo's sketchy behaviour, but the storyline will come to a head next week.
Speaking about the climactic moment that Stacey realises who Theo is, actress Lacey Turner explained: "Theo decides to celebrate his new job with Stacey and invites himself over for the evening. Stacey genuinely thinks nothing of it because she'd already told Theo a couple of weeks ago that she saw him as a friend and she naively believed he feels the same.
"I think for Theo, he's got all of these warped ideas in his head that 'tonight's the night' for him and Stacey but that all crashes down when Eve and Martin see through him and he has to finally tell her the truth. It floors Stacey and things quickly go from bad to worse."
Lacey admitted that "at first [Stacey] just doesn't believe it because she can't imagine him to be capable of doing something like this".
"He's put on such an act in front of her for months and really supported her so he's the last person she would ever suspect," she added. "It's only when Stacey realises how deluded he is about their relationship that she starts to panic as she knows she's in danger."
The star also revealed that Stacey "absolutely" didn't suspect Theo, noting that "if she did, she would have never let him near her family".
