EastEnders is set to see the return of Patsy Kensit in October as she reprises the role of Emma Harding in the BBC soap.
Emma is the long-lost mother of the late Lola Pearce, who sadly died of a brain tumour earlier this year.
The last time viewers caught a glimpse of Patsy's character was during Lola's brain tumour storyline, when Emma showed up on Albert Square, keen to sort things out with her daughter before she died.
Following the death of Lola, Emma exited Walford once again. However, it looks like she is set to return amid a new explosive plot.
At the moment, not much is known about her return, but it's been described as an "unwelcome" one.
According to the official EastEnders website, a synopsis for the episode on Monday, September 11 reads: "Kat is furious about being kept in the dark, Lily struggles with motherhood, and Emma makes an unwelcome return."
Sources have previously confirmed that Emma will dip in and out of storylines as a regular star of the soap, reports the Mirror.
"Patsy has been back in Albert Square filming on multiple occasions this month – so it seems fans have not seen the last of Emma."
"Patsy has really impressed the bosses and is a big hit with the rest of the cast. She loves the show too, so she was thrilled to be asked to return as Emma. She had thought her cameo appearance at Lola’s funeral was her last on the Square."
Patsy joined the long-running soap in December 2022, and revealed how excited she was.
She said: "I’m so excited to be visiting Walford for this storyline. It has always been a dream of mine to appear in EastEnders. The cast, producers, writers and crew have been wonderful, and I’ve had a ball. Thank you so much for having me."
