EastEnders viewers have been left fuming as they dub Sharon's recent storyline 'pointless' as she considers moving away from Albert Square. Recent episodes have seen Sharon consider moving to Abu Dhabi after receiving a job offer, however viewers have been quick to point out that she has been seen on the Square in the Christmas flash-forwards.
In the lead-up to this year's dramatic Christmas storyline, flash-forwards have seen Sharon sporting a wedding dress, as she, Denise, Kathy, Linda, Stacey, and Suki are left dealing with an unidentified dead body.
This has led to many fans predicting that she will not be moving abroad, as they label the storyline "pointless." Posting to X, formerly Twitter, one wrote: "Yeah but Sharon isn’t leaving is she? Because she’s involved in the six so this is kind of just filler #EastEnders" "Welp... at least we know that Sharon isn't leaving for Abu Dhabi anytime soon #EastEnders" added another.
Others were quick to point out Sharon's constant mispronunciation of Abu Dhabi, as one viewer quipped: "Obsessed with the way Sharon pronounces Abu Dhabi as Abby Dabby #eastenders" And second joked: "I’m obsessed with Sharon repeatedly pronouncing Abu Dhabi as AbiDabi with a straight face." It comes as Sharon's ex Keanu and his mum launched a plan for him to seduce and marry Sharon to stop her from leaving the country with their son Albie. And with Sharon seemingly tying the knot with someone at Christmas, some fans have predicted that it could be Keanu who ends up dead.
Sharing this theory, one fan argued: "Had a feel from the start Keanu was going to be the one who was dead at Christmas and that’s how it appears to be lining up. Hopefully it’s just a misdirection trick.
