EastEnders fans believe they have worked out a vital clue about the upcoming Christmas episode. Back in February, the popular BBC soap teased a major storyline that is set to air during Christmas 2023, and it involves at least one murder.
in a dramatic flash forward, fan favourites including Linda Carter, played by Kellie Bright, and Lacey Turner’s Stacey Slater could be seen in the Queen Vic as Letitia Dean’s Sharon Watts pronounced a body dead. The identity of the character set to be killed off has not been revealed – and neither has who is responsible.
Since the clip aired, fans have been desperately hunting for clues and the arrival of a new family in Albert Square has just solved a huge mystery. The Knight family are led by dad George, played by Colin Salmon, and daughters Anna and Gina, played by Molly Rainford and Francesca Henry. They will also be accompanied by Harriet Thorpe playing Elaine Peacock – Linda Carter’s mum.
Fans have rejoiced at the reveal since it also answers the month-long question as to why there was a giant suit of armour in the flash forward.Taking to social media, one fan wrote: “So now the random knight makes sense! #EastEnders.” “...and that explains the random KNIGHT'S armour standing in the #EastEnders Queen Vic flash forward scene,” another said. A third added: “The KNIGHT in shining armour has been revealed #EastEnders.” Speaking about the Christmas storyline, executive producer Chris Clenshaw explained: “We were looking for a vehicle for The Six (women) – Linda, Suki, Kathy, Stacey, Denise and Sharon – to come together, and we were looking for an episode to get viewers really excited as we setup an event that they'll hopefully look forward to all year.
