Alan Bersten is speaking out in response to claims that Kaitlyn Bristowe made about their time together on Dancing With the Stars.
While Kaitlyn and Adam were not paired together, they both appeared on season 29 of the hit ABC competition series.
Kaitlyn won the mirrorball trophy with partner Artem Chigvintsev and now The Bachelorette‘s Charity Lawson is paired with him for the upcoming season.
Charity appeared on Kaitlyn‘s Off the Vine podcast and the host tried to guess who she was going to be paired with. While making those comments, she brought up Alan and her thoughts on him.

“I think possibly Artem because [of] the height. I think possibly Alan because I could see them putting you with him, only because he’s one of the more well-loved, I feel like, out of a lot of them. And I feel like I could see you and your fun personality with him. He’s kind of a d—k, but I can see it. Well, they’re all d—ks. They’re all d—ks, I’m telling you. Buckle up,” she said.
Alan reacted to the comments in a statement to Us Weekly.
“First of all, I never danced with Kaitlyn, so I don’t know why that would even come up,” he said. “I take a lot of pride in my work and I make sure that above all else, my partners feel comfortable and confident in themselves.”
Kaitlyn has since clarified her comments and said, “I can be a d—k. We can all be d—ks. Alan is one of my closest friends from the show. I have nothing but love and respect for him. I think it’s OK to be a d—k and push people to believe in themselves and light a fire.”
