A family were left gutted after a mindless yob leapt out of a car to destroy a snowman built by their young daughter.
The girl, 10, had sculpted the figure after a flurry of the white stuff in Dudley, West Midlands, last March. With the spring weather coming in, she was determined to make the most of the surprising snowfall.
As things warmed up, the snowman started to melt and began to lose its shape. And despite the pride in their work, the family's children were excited to see it melt, Birmingham Live reports.
When they saw it in pieces on the grass, the family assumed that it had broken apart itself. But, after checking footage from their doorbell camera, they realised a "weird" passerby had decided to kick the snow sculpture to smithereens.
The footage shows a man pulling up in his car on the other side of the road before strolling into the garden. He then launches a giant kick at the snowman, sending it toppling backwards.
The man, who appears to be wearing a blue tracksuit, then wanders back to his car and drives off, leaving the snowman strewn across the grass.
The dad, who asked not to be named, said: "The wife had a doorbell alert, then we saw what had happened. We couldn't believe it.
"It is weird that it annoyed him so much he had to stop and pull over. I know it's only a snowman but to come up onto someone's garden, it's not on.
"It had started to lean over, the kids were looking forward to it melting."
The mum revealed her daughter was devastated that her hard work had been destroyed and wanted to track down the "mean and horrible" yob and find out why he had attacked the snowman.
