Amid a chaotic week in UK politics, Greater Manchester mayor Andy Burnham dropped a strong hint that he would look to run for a third term in office.
Speaking on BBC Radio Manchester, Burnham said it is 'very, very likely' that he will stand for a third term, having rubbished questions about Labour leadership aspirations.

Burnham clarified that he would not be standing in the West Lancashire by-election and spoke about his 'frustration' at being asked about Labour leadership, backing Keir Starmer to be the next Labour Prime Minister.
