A leading dietary expert has revealed that removing four foods from your diet may lead to quicker weight loss.
Dr Michael Mosley has shared a number of pointers to help dieters achieve their goals for 2022 - and it includes removing four food groups from their every day eating.
The doctor, who has made regular appearances on BBC’s The One Show, is an advocate of the Mediterranean Diet as he believes it is the best way to lose weight and stay healthy.
In addition to the four food groups he has identified as cutting out, he has also explained the foods you should replace them with instead, the Express reports.
Following the immense success of the 5:2 diet, Dr Michael developed it further by including a Mediterranean Diet on the five non-fasting days.
He said: “Today we have more hard evidence than ever that the 5:2 is one of the best ways to get slim and stay slim – as well as reduce your risk of illness.
“But this time there’s also a clever twist.”
The New 5:2 involves calorie-controlled dishes which have been created with no more than five main ingredients.
