Manchester City's legal challenge against the Premier League has dominated much of the football agenda this week.
It was revealed on Tuesday that City are seeking damages from the Premier League as they look to throw out the league's 'unlawful' Associated Party Transaction (APT) rules. That comes on top of the 115 rule breaches that City have been accused of by the Premier League, with a hearing potentially coming later in the year.
The Times reports that the Blues have now put together a 165-page legal document in an attempt to overturn APT rules aimed to prevent sponsorship deals being agreed by associated parties that are above fair market value, something City claim is against competition law.
It's prompted plenty of reaction but just what is the situation at City and how is it perceived at rival clubs. We ask the experts.

Basically, nobody knows what City are doing if they haven't read the 165-page legal document and we should all know better. Back in 2018, it looked from some leaked emails as though City were disguising equity as sponsorship funding and yet an actual court found that there wasn't any evidence of that.
That didn't stop the moralising around it though and the same is true now. We don't know if City are trying to overturn APTs altogether or if their legality complaint only stretches to the latest iterations introduced in February, but suddenly City are supposedly the Premier League villains when in reality everyone is on the game.
