A well-respected businessman struggling to keep his barber shops afloat during the pandemic took a 'deep dive' into the world of crime - for just £500.

Scott Patel was snared by police on the M62 while “stupidly” transporting £1m worth of cocaine from Liverpool to Manchester.

Officers found an 'enormous amount' of the drug stashed behind secret panels in a Ford C-Max.

Patel has now been jailed for six
