Manchester Council's new 'affordable' apartments in Ancoats could cost up to £1,000 a month, it has emerged.
Earlier this month, a planning application was submitted by social housing provider Great Places to turn the Grade II-listed Ancoats Dispensary on Old Mill Street into a block of 39 apartments.
The Dispensary dates back to 1828 when it was built to treat the impoverished workers of the area.
