Declan Donnelly insists he's 'fine' as he breaks down over moving BGT performance

Declan Donnelly couldn't help but break down into floods of tears as he watched Nick Edwards sing for his daughters on Britain's Got Talent. During the first episode of the programme, which has returned after two years, Nick's daughters surprised him by inviting him up onto the stage to perform in front of the panel of judges, including Simon Cowell, 62, Amanda Holden, 51, Alesha Dixon, 43, and David Walliams, 50.
Surprise flashed across Nick's face as he tried to hold back his emotions before coming up to face the audience. Announcing that he had "no idea" this was going to happen, he managed gather himself after getting a sip of water before belting out a song for his children.

Dec, who is dad to daughter Isla with wife Ali Astall, couldn't help but wipe away tears as he watched intently, before turning around and telling the camera: "I'm fine, I'm fine." He wasn't the only one to be left fighting back tears as Amanda and Alesha both felt emotional.
Fans were quick to flock to Twitter to share their thoughts on the emotional reaction Dec had as one person wrote: "It was Dec crying that got me #BGT," with three crying emojis. Another shared: "omg he was so good and dec crying literally had me in tears how sweet was that #BGT".
