Britain’s Got Talent say they could see exactly how a magician wowed the judges with his sleight of hand card tricks, amid claims that he should have got the Golden Buzzer.Junwoo, 23, who travelled from his home in South Korea to audition for the ITV show, had the audience gasping as he produced an endless stream of cards, seemingly out of nowhere, to the soundtrack of Cake by the Ocean by DNCE.Alesha Dixon, David Walliams, Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden all rose to their feet in admiration at the end of his routine. Some viewers praised his “supernatural” performance and criticised Alesha for not awarding him the Golden Buzzer straight through to the live shows, claiming it was a fix when it went to a hip hop duo later in the show. But others weren’t as impressed with Junwoo’s act, saying they could easily see how he was making his “magic”. One posted on Twitter: “Magician needs to use smaller cards so we don't clearly see them in his hand, and make it less glaringly obvious when he's taking more from his sleeves.”Others noted: “Magicians have done this for years, but with doves,” and: “They’re talking like they’ve never seen magicians do sleight of hands tricks."Junwoo, who only took up magic tricks after watching other contestants on BGT on YouTube, started his act by borrowing Alesha Dixon’s glasses and making them disappear. At the end he produced a box made from cards that contained her missing sunnies.

BGT’s biggest Ofcom rows - Amanda Holden racy outfits to BLM dance
Ofcom rows in the show’s 15-year history.Diversity sparked a huge reaction with their Black Lives Matter performance in 2020 which contained an anti-racism inspired dance which depicted the death of George Floyd in police custody, with a white actor kneeling on Ashley Banjo's neck. Many praised Diversity for highlighting the issue in their powerful and emotional routine, but complaints soon began pouring with Ofcom receiving a staggering 24,500 complaints."Take politics out of family entertainment," blasted one furious viewer. However, the performance received the full support of ITV and the watchdog alike.A spokesperson for Ofcom said: "We concluded that the programme did not raise issues which warranted investigation under our broadcasting rules."We carefully considered a large number of complaints about this artistic routine, an area where freedom of expression is particularly important.”Ashley's fellow BGT judge Alesha Dixon furiously defended the dance - which she said had moved her to "floods of tears".The broadcasting watchdog has received thousands of complaints about judge Amanda Holden’s sexy frocks during numerous episodes of the ITV series. Her super low-cut gown during a live show in 2017 received a massive 663 complaints - making it the most complained about moment of the year at the time. Another navy gown worn in 2020 featured a plunging neckline and thigh-high split.

Britain's Got Talent fans split over Ant and Dec's Golden Buzzer act amid 'fix' claims
Britain's Got Talent (May 7) saw judges Amanda Holden, Simon Cowell, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon enjoy an evening of variety acts.Waiting in the wings, hosts Ant and Dec also enjoyed the slew of performances that ranged from singing, poetry, dancing, magic and comedy. With each of the judges as well as the Geordie duo having a Golden Buzzer act they are allowed to claim throughout the audition process, lucky contestants who make the grade are fast-tracked through the stages. After a Japanese magician, Keiichi Iwasaki, performed on the show tonight – he was hopeful that he might nab the coveted Golden Buzzer.Taking to the stage, he asked judge Alesha to assist him in an incredible illusion that left viewers with their jaws on the floor.Keiichi asked Alesha to raise a finger before showing off a ring and walking away."This ring, your finger," he said before he flicked his hand and the ring started to spin around in the air.It then began to hover through the air towards Alesha before landing finger. After receiving resounding roar of applause from the audience and judges, the magician was overjoyed. And even more so when he received a slew of yes votes. But that wasn't all, because soon after Ant and Dec bound onto the stage, down the steps and towards the panel before plunging the Golden Buzzer down.Fans were completely divided by Ant and Dec's decision. Some were overjoyed, while some branded it a "fix", and others were unhappy as they believed somebody earlier in the show deserved it more."That’s what you call variety, great golden buzzer choice," said one happy viewer.Another commented: "The best kind of magic is when you think you know how he’s doing it.
