Phillip Schofield gave a warning to replacement host of Dancing on Ice, Stephen Mulhern, on Sunday as he watched him take over his role on the ITV show whilst he self-isolated at home. The 59 year old was forced to sit out from presenting duties on the ice skating competition after testing positive for Covid-19 earlier in the week, leaving Stephen to take his place besideHolly Willoughby. Despite having experience hosting live shows following stints on Catchphrase and Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, this was Stephen's first time presenting Dancing On Ice and he appeared to be enjoying it in a clip Phillip reposted on Instagram Stories.

“Do you know something I’m loving it at the moment,” Stephen said. "And also, I know Phil is watching.
Phil, I'm having fun." Host-turned-viewer of the show, Phillip did not seem impressed as he left the caption: “Not too much fun Mulhern... I know where you live." It appeared the This Morning presenter wasn’t being serious with his threat though as he showed his excitement in switching roles as watcher of Dancing On Ice in a later post.
“Well this is an experience I never expected!! I’m loving watching with a G&T @hollywilloughby @stephenmulhern,” Phillip added. Sunday’s episode marked the first occasion long time co-host Holly had presented the show without Philip and saw her reunited with her former presenting partner from early on in her TV career Stephen. The pair had fronted many children's shows together twenty years ago and looked happy to be back in each other’s company decades later as they hosted with an ease of chemistry.
