It may only be Oti Mabuse’s first season of Dancing On Ice, but it’s safe to say that she’s shut it down with her beauty looks every single week.Taking to the judging panel for Sunday night’s grand finale, the 31 year old looked incredible with sleek, dark red hair that reached her hips, paired with a smoky eye and neutral lip colour with a touch of gloss. Oti regularly changes up her hair for TV appearances, but the lengthy burgundy style isn’t one that we see very often on her, so naturally her fans were loving her look for the evening.
Many of them took to the comments section of a carousel of images posted to the star’s Instagram account to share compliments about the look. "Stunning, loving the hair colour!" one fan said, as another chimed in with, "Your hair is amazing, the colour really suits you".
"That hair colour is amazing on you!!! Stunning as always Oti,” a third follower agreed. "Poison Ivy vibes," another added in reference to the DC Comics character and one of Batman’s nemeses.
It’s no secret that red hair is having a major moment this season, whether it’s a burgundy or copper shade, so Oti’s finale look is bang on trend. "The right red can be enormously flattering," says Nicola Clarke, creative colour director for John Frieda Salons, which has just launched its Perfect Red Colour Service.
"I might use a soft colour glaze, rich deep pigment or multi-dimensional tones to create the perfect colour to enhance someone's skin tone – no two clients will be the same." Case in point, Oti isn’t the only one to experiment with a fiery red shade this season. Stacey Solomon made the switch to a bold, bright red shade a few months ago, while the likes of Zendaya and Kendall Jenner have been dabbling with copper hair.
