Birthday getaway!!! Just her and dad! To celebrate her 5th, we took Mayte down to San Diego and over three days we’re gonna show her a magical and action-packed time! We needed it as well! Perez was feeling very down! But, we made it to the San Diego Zoo! So much to see there! And our little princess was in heaven! We also went to Balboa Park! AND we ended our very busy day with a trip the movies. Mayte INSISTED on seeing Harry Styles and Florence Pugh in Don’t Worry Darling. You have to watch to see that moment! Plus, our reviews! Michaela Zee editor Andy Garcia, Regina Hall, Tony Hale and Lisa Ann Walter are among the stars being honored at this year’s San Diego International Film Festival. In its 21st year, SDIFF will include the return of the Opening Night Film Premiere, the Night of the Stars Tribute and Culinary Cinema. The festival has also announced new additions to this year’s lineup, including the drama “She Said,” with Carey Mulligan and Zoe Kazan, and “The Inspection,” starring Jeremy Pope, Gabrielle Union and Bokeem Woodbine. Garcia will receive the Gregory Peck Award, Hall will be presented the Virtuoso Award, Hale with the Fairbanks Award and Walter with the Virtuoso Award. As previously announced, Colson Baker (aka Machine Gun Kelly) will receive the Spotlight Award following the screening of his upcoming drama film “Good News” on Oct. 23.

A starry group of global talent has been set to join Paolo Sorrentino on the main jury for the 19th edition of the Marrakech International Film Festival which runs from November 11-19 in the Moroccan city.

Lebanese director and actor Nadine Labaki (“Caparnum”), German actor Diane Kruger (“Inglorious Basterds”) and Moroccan director Laïla Marrakchi (“Marock”) complete the high-profile jury. As previously announced, Paolo Sorrentino, the Oscar-winning director of “The Great Beauty” and “The Hand of God,” will preside over the jury, which spans 10 countries from four continents.

Manori Ravindran International Editor “Baroness von Sketch Show” star Carolyn Taylor will front a new unscripted comedy series for Canadian streaming service Crave, produced through Catalyst and Blue Ant Studios. The six-part comedy series has been commissioned by the Bell Media-owned SVOD, and is produced by Catalyst — the Toronto-based development and funding company focusing on women-centric content — and Blue Ant Studios as part of a strategic partnership to develop female-generated programming for the global marketplace. Taylor is best known as one of the stars and co-creators of CBC’s comedy hit “Baroness von Sketch Show,” which aired across five seasons from 2016 to 2020. Starring four female comedians, the satirical sketch comedy offered clever takedowns of contemporary culture through the female gaze. Some of the show’s most famous skits include “Private Vagina,” “Mom Says Hello” and “Not All Men.”

Los Angeles court has granted Pierce Brosnan an emergency restraining order against a woman who he alleges is “stalking” him and his family at their Southern California residence. In legal documents obtained by The Blast, the 69-year-old claimed that the woman, 55, has been staying outside of his Malibu home in a car. The former 007 actor told the court that he contacted the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department to remove the woman from his property on two separate occasions.

Naman Ramachandran San Diego’s The Old Globe has announced an extension of Aditya Chopra’s “Come Fall in Love – The DDLJ Musical” due to popular demand. The Broadway-bound production has been extended for one week and will now play through Oct. 23, 2022. Chopra’s U.S. stage musical reimagining of his immensely popular 1995 Bollywood film “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge,” commonly abbreviated to DDLJ, addresses the need for cultural unification in a divided world. Shoba Narayan plays Simran, a young Indian American woman whose future is set via an arranged marriage back in India to a family friend. Mork and Mindy and Perfect Strangers creator Dale McRaven has died at the age of 83.The writer and television showrunner died in his home in Porter Ranch, California, his son David told Variety. McRaven died from complications related to lung cancer.McRaven co-created Mork and Minda with Joe Glauberg and Garry Marshall, which was a sitcom starring Robin Williams and Pam Dawber which ran for four seasons.Perfect Strangers also ran as a sitcom on ABC, for eight seasons spanning 150 episodes.
