The cast of “Almost Famous” are getting the band back together to celebrate the movie’s 20th anniversary.

Chris Willman Music WriterWith the 20th anniversary of the release date of the film “Almost Famous” approaching in September, the “Origins” podcast is getting a jump of the commemorating by launching a five-part series about the making of Cameron Crowe’s much-loved rock ‘n’ roll comedy-drama.Writer-director Cameron Crowe, who based the movie on his own experiences as a teenaged Rolling Stone journalist in the 1970s, has been interviewed for the retelling of the making of the film.

Deftones are readying themselves for the 20th anniversary of their celebrated album ‘White Pony’ with a global virtual listening party.Fans can join the event hosted on Deftones’ YouTube channel on Monday (June 22) at different times depending on where they’re tuning in from.The Californian band’s third record was released on June 20, 2000. Album track ‘Elite’ secured the band a Grammy for Best Metal Performance at the 43rd awards.

The cast of Even Stevens has reunited for a virtual reunion special to mark the show’s 20th anniversary.Stars of the series, which aired on the Disney Channel from 2000 and 2003, took part in the online gathering over the conferencing platform Zoom on Wednesday (June 17, 2020), and Christy Carlson Romano, Tom Virtue and Nick Spano all showed up to reminisce.

Even Stevens have hosted a virtual reunion to mark the show’s 20th anniversary.The show aired on the Disney Channel for three seasons between 2000 and 2003.Almost all of the show’s core cast appeared on the reunion, held over Zoom, including Christy Carlson Romano, Tom Virtue and Nick Spano.One star who was absent was Shia LaBeouf, with Spano revealing that the team had reached out to him, but he was unavailable to join.

Drew Brees is apologizing for his comments about fellow NFL athletes who choose to kneel at games during the national anthem. The 41-year-old New Orleans Saints quarterback gave an interview to in which he was asked about players kneeling. 

"Today we should be dancing together in Parc del Forum, so we deserve a celebration!"

NFL quarterback Drew Brees can add one more fumble to his career total. The New Orleans Saints star is the latest public figure to spark backlash over his comments surrounding his beliefs on the National Anthem and the United States flag.  On Wednesday, Yahoo Finance interviewed Brees and asked him about his stance on the recent nationwide protests in response to George Floyd's death, who was killed by a Minneapolis police officer on Monday, May 25.

LeBron James publicly criticized New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees on Wednesday after Brees said in a new interview that he was still against NFL players kneeling during the national anthem before games to protest police brutality, even amid nationwide protests after the death of George Floyd.

Drew Brees admitted that he doesn’t support kneeling for the national anthem before football games, one day after posting a tribute to Black Lives Matter activists for “Blackout Tuesday.”
