Coronation Street fans were cheering at their TV as stalker Justin Rutherford was finally confronted by Daniel Osbourne in dramatic scenes. Soap watchers were warned of scenes of violence to come in Wednesday night's episode (March 8).
Influencer Daisy Midgeley has been stalked for weeks by Justin. They first met in hospital in December while she waited for her test results following a cancer scare.
When her fiance Daniel went to get a cup of tea for the Rovers Return barmaid, who had discovered a lump in her breast, Justin noticed that Daisy was upset and went to sit with her. After they got talking, he told her that he was there with his mother, who has terminal cancer.

He has since been messaging Daisy, followed her to a wedding fair and was introduced as her mum's new boyfriend among other erratic behaviour. Tensions ran high in the ITV soap after a frightened Daisy called the venue and rescheduled her wedding.
Then the owner of her chosen bridal boutique called at the pub and told Daisy that they’d had a call from Justin accusing her of assault and they were longer prepared to lend her a dress. She and Daniel rowed as she thought he was blaming the ordeal on her being on social media.
Later, she was horrified to find Justin had got into 1 Coronation Street through the back door. Daniel was shocked to see Justin and called the police but PC Craig Tinker explained that, unfortunately, the only thing Justin was guilty of was trespass.
After going to the pub, leaving Daisy with his niece Amy, Daniel was furious to find Justin still lurking around. Asking his half brother Peter to "hold his chips" he stormed over to Justin.
