Coronation Street star Charlotte Jordan has shared behind-the-scenes filming snaps from the recent harrowing acid attack storyline. The actress, 27, plays Daisy Midgeley on the ITV soap and Monday's episode saw her character attacked with acid by her evil stalker Justin Rutherford.
During the latest episode, fans were left in shock by a harrowing plot twist when Ryan Connor was revealed to be the victim of the vicious acid attack while defending Daisy from Justin.Taking to Instagram on Tuesday after the scenes aired, Daisy star Charlotte admitted she was "overwhelmed" with everyone's support and reaction to the hard-hitting episode. The actress also shared a collection of behind-the-scenes filming snaps from the harrowing scenes, giving soap fans an inside glimpse into production.
Charlotte penned: "Work week 5 #bts @coronationstreet ~ Feel quite overwhelmed with all the messages about last nights Corrie. "So many people to thank for delivering episodes on such a sensitive and unfortunately, prevalent subject matter.
It really is a team effort and wanted to say thank you for watching, even when it’s hard." In the photos, it sees Charlotte posing in her dressing room's mirror with her wedding hair styled for Daisy while another sees the Rovers Return Inn decorated with flowers and white balloons. Another snap sees Charlotte posing in front of Daisy's wedding car with on-screen groom Daniel Osbourne star Rob Mallard.
Other photos see Charlotte getting her hair styled and in her wedding dress, as well as her end of episode hair - where she had showered to get rid of the acid in harrowing scenes.
