Hundreds of patients were discharged from Stepping Hill Hospital into care homes without being tested for coronavirus during early weeks of pandemic

Manchester Evening News and the Local Democracy Reporting Service can reveal. The response to a Freedom of Information request to Stockport NHS Foundation Trust shows 391 people left the hospital for 'care settings' between March 1 and April 15 this year.Of these, 63 were tested for Covid.

A DOZEN patients were discharged from Tameside Hospital into care homes after testing POSITIVE for coronavirus during the first wave of of the pandemic, it's been revealed.A Freedom of Information request to the Tameside Foundation Trust revealed that between March 1 and April 15 this year,  117 elderly people were sent back from the hospital into care homes.Of these, 40 people were tested for Covid-19 before being released.But 77 patients were allowed to return to care homes without being

People across Greater Manchester are STILL struggling to book coronavirus tests anywhere near their homes - here are some of their stories of frustration

Manchester Evening News to say they have been unable to book a test near to their homes and have have instead been offered appointments at testing centres hours away. University of Manchester student Robbie Beale said he cycled 13 miles and visited three different testing centres before eventually managing to get a test.

Coronavirus outbreaks at seven Greater Glasgow and Clyde schools

schools in Greater Glasgow and Clyde have been hit with Covid-19. NHS chiefs tonight announced there had been positive cases identified at four Glasgow schools, one in East Dumbartonshire, one school in Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire, and another in East Renfrewshire.
