Coronation Street stars have been sharing their support for Ellie Leach after her Strictly Come Dancing win. The actress was crowned the winner of the BBC One dance contest alongside professional dancer Vito Coppola on Saturday night (December 16).
The pair went up against Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin and Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell after all three couples made it to the end of the 2023 run of the competition and to be in with a chance of winning, they had to perform three dances each - their favourite from the series, the judges' pick and a 'show dance' which showcased everything they had learnt in the past three months.
The judges gave their usual comments and scores, however, the end result came down to the public vote which told a different story to the judges' opinion. Layton and Nikita received a total score of 119 points out of a possible 120 while Bobby and Dianne bagged 117 points. Ellie and Vito then placed bottom of the final leaderboard having received a total of 115 points.

But it was Ellie, 22, and Vito, 31, who emerged victorious as the public got behind them and voted from them to take the Strictly 2023 champions title and life the Glitterball trophy.
